For this year's event, Bagnoles de l'Orne, in the department of the same name, will host the Equirando. This commune of 2,700 inhabitants, situated in the south of Normandy and in the heart of the Andaine region, owes its fame to its spa, which is renowned for its attractiveness to tourists, welcoming over 10,000 curists a year.
With its casino, Belle Epoque district, golf course, racecourse, château, park and arboretum, Bagnoles de l'Orne boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, nestled in a lovely green setting.
The Andaines national forest, which surrounds the Equirando 2025 host site, promises to be a large-scale playground for hikers! This wooded area boasts over 450 kilometers of trails, spread over its entire surface area.
Bagnoles-de-l'Orne has a strong focus on tourism and outdoor activities, with the GR 22 running along the edge of the forest, allowing walkers from all directions to enjoy the calm and greenery so characteristic of Normandy.
José Castañeda, President of CRTE Normandie, adds: "This year's event will take place right in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional Normandie Maine. This Unesco World Geopark is home to unique landscapes: rocky escarpments, peaks, white water, belvederes... so many wonders that affirm the identity of this territory."
