Organizing Equirando

Becoming an organizer

You would like to host and organise an Equirando and have several questions:
How do I apply? What are the prerequisites? How long does it take to organise an event of this scale?

We've got everything you need to get started!

01.

What profile should you have?

You have experience of organising major equestrian events, and you know you can count on a group of motivated and committed volunteers. Then you're up for the challenge!

02.

Can local authorities support an organizer?

Yes, they are an essential support to the organisation. Don't hesitate to consult them.

03.

Are there any reference specifications?

The FFE-CNTE will help you with all the steps you need to take, with the support of the Equirando specifications, available on request.

Proceed in stages

Here are a few steps - not exhaustive - to give you an initial idea of how the Equirando is organised:

  • Contact the local authorities,
  • Request the specifications from the FFE-CNTE,
  • Drawing up a provisional budget,
  • Solicit FITE's NETOs,
  • Bringing partners together,
  • Prepare the approach routes,
  • Define available accommodations,
  • Planning events,
  • Setting up and securing infrastructures,
  • Recruit a team of volunteers,
  • Communicating and promoting the event.

The FFE & the FITE can help you

As this is an international event, the FFE and the FITE will be there to support you. From budget management and itinerary planning, to setting up entertainment and ensuring the safety of infrastructures and participants, we'll guide you through the set-up of this unique event.
